Hi,

If you can access Outlook Express on your new computer then easily you can import the .dbx files to access your emails.

In case you’re .dbx files get corrupt then use Outlook Recovery Software to recover damaged .dbx file.

Version of MS outlook is not mention in this post. Is it MS Outlook 2010/2007/2003/2002/2000? I am giving an example to know the backup files location in MS Outlook 2010 for emails. Backup files have two file formats .PST and .OST.

To locate MSOutlook backup Files (.pst and .ost) do the following:

In Outlook 2010, click the File tab.
Click Account Settings, and then click Account Settings.
On the Data Files tab, click an entry, and then click Open Folder Location.

Outlook Data Files (.pst) created by using Outlook 2010 are saved on your computer in the Documents\Outlook Files folder.

If you upgraded to Outlook 2010 on a computer that already had data files that were created in earlier versions of Outlook, these files are saved in a different location in a hidden folder.

This way you can find backup of Outlook emails. In case you’re PST files get corrupt the use PST Recovery Software to recover damaged PST file.

In this post it is not clear which email client you have on your home computer is it Outlook Express or MS outlook? If you have Outlook express then it is not required to convert .dbx file. You can use Outlook Express Recovery tool to see all your mails in Outlook express. Please share more information on client email.

It is very common to face this problem when PST file get oversized.
